It’s been a while!

It’s been a while, hasn’t it? To be precise, 8 April 2024, some ten months since I last posted here. Firstly, a huge welcome to both new and familiar readers alike! Whether you’ve been here from the start or you’ve just stumbled across Run With Perseverance, I’m thrilled that you’re here.

I have to hold my hands up and say sorry for the radio silence. Life has been lively, largely in the best possible way, and there is much to update.

So what's been happening

Work wise, I recently finished a fixed-term contract and am now actively on the lookout for my next challenge as an HR / People and Culture Director. Whether interim or permanent, I’m excited to bring my passion for workplace culture and wellbeing to a new team. If you hear of anything, do let me know!

Running wise, I hit the pretty big milestone of 100 marathons last year, celebrating the big run on my 50th birthday which was pretty cool all round! And because that wasn’t quite enough (😅), I needed to squeeze in a few more quickly to complete 52 marathons in 52 weeks. Yes, a whole year of marathons!

Related to running, I joined the RunAlive Team for Season 4 of the podcast. Ed, Gill and I had a lot of fun speaking with some brilliant guests. You can access all episodes from the first four seasons here where you will be guided to your podcast platform of choice when you press an episode link! My interview in Series 1 is still there and you can access that right here on this website.

Running has always been about more than just the miles for me; it’s about resilience, friendships, reflection time and so many other special things it adds to my life.

The newest passion keeping me busy is study. I’m now two assignments deep into a part-time CertHE in Theology, Ministry, and Mission at St Mellitus College. It’s been a fascinating, challenging, and rewarding experience diving deeper into faith and purpose, and my intention is to continue onto the degree course thereafter.

What's next?

Hopefully lots of regular content, and I’ve got plenty already lined up. Expect more updates, reflections, and (of course) running chat very soon.

If you’re interested in working with me professionally, whether it’s in HR leadership or as a wellbeing speaker, details are at rohankallicharan.com.

Thanks for being patient … or for forgetting you’d signed up for updates in the first place! I can’t wait to get back to sharing this journey with you all.

See you soon!
