Update: Route for Virtual Comrades
I’m delighted (and utterly petrified) to share my provisional route for Sunday’s Virtual Comrades Run. 90 kilometres does mean some repetition so you will notice 3 loops of Richmond Park and 6 laps of Battersea Park.
- Start Time: 6.30am
- * Looping around Richmond Park: 9am to 12.30pm
- * Lapping Battersea Park: 1.30pm to 3.30pm
- * Finish at Clapham Old Town: between 3.30 and 4.30pm
* all times are loosely estimated based on a pace of circa 10 minutes per mile and with pit-stops factored in!
I know that this will be one of toughest running events yet, so any support (responsibly and socially distanced of course!) would be hugely appreciated.
Ro (Rohan) is an award-winning mental health campaigner and speaker with lived experience of mental illness. He has been involved in a number of high-profile campaigns to raise awareness and break down the stigma around mental ill-health, and is a Trustee at Mind, the UK's largest mental health charity. He is a sub-3 hour marathon runner, HR Director and husband to Claire.
