Patience and patience! Legs still totally without any zip although cardio conditioning felt better this morning. Not a problem after a month out injured and not surprising as I’m about 2 stone overweight. But it will come #runnersofinstagram #ukrunchat

Still a distance from building up any type of cardio fitness and rhythm, but every run back is a bonus and this definitely was absolutely niggle free. Time to be patient and build! #ukrunchat #runnersofinstagram

Found this classic earlier… Just the 16,352 test match runs and 46 test centuries in this photograph. I think dad had retired and was practicing before one of the Masters tournaments, with a young Brian Charles Lara about to break all manner of records. #westindiescricket 🏏🇬🇾🇹🇹🌴

Big thanks to all at @megansrestaurants at The Terrace. Amazing job by the team to keep customers safe as Clapham was hit by a biblical storm. Great customer service from the team in difficult circumstances… and time for a laugh with us customers hiding in the kitchen when the electrics went out!!

Closing any life chapter always brings a sense of contemplation, bringing the unknown and uncertain. However, it always comforts me to turn to the most important chapters of all. The bible reminds me to be strong and courageous (#Deuteronomy31), to shed fear and panic. Not always easy but always right.

Up and out early this morning, trying to get back into the 6am routine! Another small step on what I’m ensuring is a patient road back from injury in terms of recovery and fitness. Was very warm & humid out at mid-day! What is it they say about mad dogs??! If you’re out there, stay well hydrated. Again, close to pain free and no way I’m going to push any harder or further in this weather as I recover from a month long injury lay-off #ukrunchat #running #runnersofinstagram

After a month out with a calf injury, 4 miles yesterday and 5 today… today’s totally niggle free. Definitely no value in doing any more in this heat; even having run 7 marathons this year before the injury, it takes time to rebuild base fitness. Nice to be back out there on feet and not wheels!! #ukrunchat #battersea

It’s so important that young women have role models telling them that their #mentalhealth is much more important than anything else.

That said, some very fundamental differences in the situations of Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka.
