Podcast: People, Culture & Tech – purpose and happiness at work

The last year, in particular, has definitely fused my work and non-work personas when it comes to speaking around wellbeing, vulnerability and purpose. As an HR leader, all of the messages that I address as a mental health speaker and campaigner are increasingly relevant at work. In our jobs, we must ensure we have a workforce that it healthy, engaged and purposeful. Simply, I am constantly driven and surrounded by People, Culture & Tech!

People, Culture & Tech Webinar & Podcast Series

I met Paul Church last year as I explored connections within People and Technology. I’ve seen the webinar series grow from being a small meetup group into a thriving community which addresses the most pressing issues for today’s HR and business leaders. Similarly, I’ve loved Paul’s commitment to mental wellbeing and am privileged to have appeared on three separate episodes / events (delete as applicable!).

In this live webinar, converted to a podcast, I join Paul and the wonderful Abigail Wilmore, Chief People Officer at Stella McCartney. as we talk through challenges and ideas to give our workforces purpose and happiness in the chaos of the pandemic and beyond.

There’s some great content and it’s clear that Abigail and I are on similar wavelengths. I learnt a lot just listening to her and it’s great collaborating with peers. Above all, I hope our audience will take some brilliant insights and that their people will benefit.

In Paul’s own words to describe the event…

2020 made us stop, think and re-prioritise our lives. Which means your workforce may have different priorities now compared to what they had 12 months ago.

So, as a business, how do you tap into these new values and priorities to ensures your people are invested in working for you?

How do we ensure the happiness of our workforce? How do make sure they feel an authentic sense of purpose?
